AN EGYPTIAN GREEN GLAZED COMPOSITION SHABTI FOR THE ADMIRAL TJAY-NEHEBU, BORN OF TA-NEFERTITI
LATE PERIOD, DYNASTY XXVI, CIRCA 6TH CENTURY B.C.
Mummiform, with arms crossed holding pick and hoe, seed bag over left shoulder, wearing tripartite wig and plaited flase beard, with twelve horizontal lines of inscription from Chapter VI of the Book of the Dead, mounted; and another green glazed composition shabti with nine horizontal lines of inscription for, 'Wah-ib-re', back pillar vertically inscribed, Late Period, Dynasty XXVI, circa 6th Century B.C.
