Comprising two découpé covers with fine gold, blue and black decoration arranged as large radiating medallions between four spandrels, the reverse with marbled paper; a complete binding with flap with stamped decoration of almond-shaped medallions and spandrels, the doublures of red and gilt floral paper; three single covers with gilt and stamped decoration; four flaps, including a 16th century Safavid lacquered flap with remains of figural decoration; the last a large Qajar lacquered binding possibly signed Ahmad al-Nayrizi and dated AH 1122
