Illustrations throughout after Wright and others, the leaves printed on one side only and folded. (Very light browning.) Original stitched wrappers illustrated after a design by El Lissitzky (minor wear, spine with expert minor repairs.)
FIRST EDITION. IN A REMARKABLY FRESH EXAMPLE OF THE LISSITZKY-DESIGNED COVERS, perhaps his most well-known Suprematist design. This issue of the Dutch architectural journal Wendingen was dedicated entirely to the work of Frank Lloyd Wright; the text by H.P. Berlege is accompanied by numerous illustrations of the celebrated architect's work, including a photograph of the maquette for the Tokyo Imperial Palace Hotel.
