    Painted in tones of blue, manganese and yellow with a quarter-length portrait of James II wearing a blue and ochre crown flanked by J2/R in manganese within an ochre line rim, very slight flaking to rim, two chips to footrim

    A similar example of this extremely rare subject was in the Lipski Collection, Sotheby's London, 10th March 1981, lot 47.
