    THE SILVER MARK OF WALKER AND HALL, SHEFFIELD, 1892
    The wheelbarrow elaborately carved on egg and dart capital legs with engraved silver mounts, the silver plaque inscribed 'Presented by the Chairman and Directors of the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire RyCo7o the Rt Hon W.E. Gladstone, MP, on the occasion of the cutting of the first sod of the Wirral Railway from the Hawarden Bridge to Birkenhead, 21st October, 1892', the shovel similarly engraved and with a similar plaque bearing the same inscription, the silver with the mark of Walker & Hall, Silversmiths, Sheffield
    The wheelbarrow 47 in. (119.5 cm.) long; the shovel 37½ in. (95.5 cm.) long
