    A DEEP OLIVE GREEN AND RUSSET JADE HALF TALLY SECTION
    depicting a profile section of a crouching mythical feline creature, with ruyi formed nose, long bushy eye brows and a long tiger patterned tail hugged close over the back of its body, the reverse side flat with a depressed geometrical pattern, a series of triangles within a long rectangle, the other half of the tally would have slotted into the depression as well as completing the lines of archaistic script that runs along the spine of the creature and along its tail, and the single incised character to the underside of the beasts jaw, a worn drill hole through the centre of the body; and an olive green jade rhyton with artifical heat burning to its front, the base modelled as an ox head with large curved horns, the upper section of the cylindrical cup incised with scrolling dragon and phoenix design, wood stand -- The first 4½in. (11.3cm.) wide. (2)
