    of pear shape with a waisted neck and a flaring everted rim supported on a slightly splayed foot, decorated with a monkey up a gnarled pine tree reaching for a ribboned object, beside a bird and insects in flight, above a spotted deer amidst peony sprigs and lingzhi fungus growing beside rockwork, iron-red Rui di tui si tang zhi mark ('Hall of Retiring for Contemplation in the Farsighted Official's House') -- 8in. (20.9cm.) high, wood box.
