    GILT QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARKS WITHIN DOUBLE RECTANGLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
    Each of rectangular section, the solid slightly flared sides with canted corners, rising to a lipped rim, decorated with pairs of confronted dragons on each face, divided by formal lotus flower scrolls, above a border of lotus lappets, and below another of pendent ruyi heads and coral dots, the inner rim with a key-fret band, the interior and base turquoise glazed, the nianhao written in a line to the base

    Compare with a pair of turquoise-ground famille rose narcissus bowls of this shape decorated entirely with lotus scrolls and with gilt Qianlong seal marks, from the Edward T. Chow collection, sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 19 May 1981, lot 596.
