QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)

Of archaistic bronze shape, exterior of the vessel finely decorated with lotus blooms radiating leaves and tendrils, below a band of ruyi-heads surrounding the mouth rim, cast with two vertical gilt-metal posts on the mouth rim, each terminating with a domed finial, one side of the body with a gilt-metal looped dragon-head handle, the underside with a trigram emblem within a circle, forming the symbol Qian, supported on three characteristic splayed legs decorated with key-fret pattern
