    Oblong, the reverse engraved with an oval medallion with fishermen in harbour, the hinged cover engraved with sailing vessels and rowing boats with figures at sea, the side inscribed: S:K: Ao 1801, gilt inside, marked on inside rim

    B.W.G. Wttewaall suggests that the box may have been made for a Captain of a fishing boat in Katwijk. He also remarks that the engraving is not by the box maker Vergouw but by a specialed engraver.
