Smaller Qianlong-marked bowls with this exact carving of whiskered dragons are illustrated in Carved Lacquer in the Collection of the Palace Museum, Wenwu Chubanshe, 1985, no. 339; and another in Gugong Qici Tezhan Mulu, 'National Palace Museum Special Exhibition of Lacquerwares', Taipei, 1981, no. 47 (both examples without the metal lining).
