    Woven in wools and silks, depicting a battle scene with Roman warriors before a fortified town, a mountainous landscape beyond, within an elaborate pergola border centred by further landscape panels and decorated with fruited foliage, birds and figures, with a scrolling outer border and later blue guard border, possibly reduced in width
