    Painted in puce with Diana and Acteon, in a wooded river landscape, a rock with a Sgraffito signature OS., the vignette supported by a rococo gilt scroll and diaper half-cartouche, flanked by scattered sprigs, the scroll handle and spout with gilt foliate terminals, the gilt border with pendant husks (cover lacking, minute wear to gilding on spout)

    The OS monogram is attributed to the artist Jakob Osterspey. Signed examples of his work are in the Museum für Kunsthandwerk, Grassimuseum, Leipzig, see the coffee-pot illustrated by Dieter Gielke in Europäisches Porzellan Museum Catalogue (Leipzig, n.d.), p. 56, no. 36.
