A French jewelled and enamelled gold-mounted hardstone tazza
Mark of Jean-Valentin Morel, Paris, circa 1855
The hardstone shell-shaped bowl on oval foot with enamelled floral border, surmounted by foliage, the stem modelled as figures of a satyr and a woman, finely enamelled in flesh tints, with loop handle designed as billowing drapery held by a female figure astride a dolphin, all brilliantly enamelled in colours and set with pearls, engraved MOREL & SÉVRES on foot-rim
