    Fluted pear-shape and on three lion-mask capped paw feet, with a part wood handle and leaf-capped spout, the hinged cover with a milled border and a pinecone finial, engraved with a crest. marked near handle, underneath and on cover bezel

    A pot of similar form, also by Willaume, though weighing only 28 oz was sold Christie's London 12 July 1989, lot 179 and another of similar form was sold Christie's London 18 March 1970 and is illustrated in M. Clayton, The Christie's Pictorial History of English and American Silver, Oxford, 1985, p.148, no.3.
