    Shaped oval, the gadrooned border with acanthus leaves and shells at intervals, the border engraved with a coat-of-arms below a baron's coronet, marked underneath
    19½ in. (49.5 cm.) long
    76 oz. (2,350 gr.)
    The arms are those of Littleton impaling Colley quartering Wellesley, for Edward, 1st Baron Hatherton (1791-1863) and his wife Hyacinthe Mary (d. 1849), natural daughter of 1st Marquess Wellesley, whom he married in 1812.
