    Circular and on four lion's paw feet with foliage and flower borders, later engraved with an inscription, marked on border
    18 in. (45.7 cm.) diam.
    The inscription reads 'Presented to Lieut: Colonel Harris, V.D. by the People of the Diamond Fields, South Africa, as a token of respect and Esteem 1897'
