    by the Imperial Glass Factory, St Petersburg, 1829-1840
    The blue cut-glass carafe of baluster form with a fluted neck in three sections, the body decorated with symmetrical portraits en grisaille of Emperor Nicholas I and his wife the Empress Alexandra Fedorovna, framed on both sides with garlands, the Imperial double-headed eagle and a depiction of the captured Turkish banner and standard, the cylindrical four blue tumblers and three clear tumblers similarly decorated with portraits of the Romanov dynasty, including His Royal Highness Alexander Nicholaevich, Her Royal Highness Maria Alexandrovna, the future wife of Emperor Alexander II, with gilt details and rim
