    The large central aperture drilled from one side, the semi-translucent, greyish-green stone with two areas at the rim on opposite sides that have altered to an opaque buff color, and with areas of dark brown alteration in the stone, with smooth polish

    The type of stone and the opaque alterations at the edges of this bi are similar to that of bi from the Qijia culture, such as one excavated in Lajia, Minhe, Qinghai province, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Jades Unearthed in China - 15 - Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Beijing, 2005, p. 144.
