    A group of Japanese tsuishu and tsuikoku inro and manju netsuke, 19th Century
    the first four-case inro carved in red lacquer with Oshikyo (Wang Tsze K'iao) riding through the air on a crane and playing a wind instrument whilst flying over his family never to return to his princely life, bead ojime and a manju netsuke carved with flowers and fruit; another four-case inro carved in black lacquer on a red carved floral ground with Chinese noblemen and attendants beneath large pine trees, bone ojime of a seated, bearded figure and a square manju netsuke carved with leafy sprays and berries; and two tsuishu lacquer netsuke, one with figures with a crane, a full moon above; another with three sages around a table, the interior lacquered with autumnal grasses in gold hiramakie and hirame -- the first 3 3/16in.
