    NORTH EAST IRAN, 12TH CENTURY
    The circular body on three bent spade shape feet with curling extremities, the tall cylindrical lid with a domical cover issuing a bulbous finial with six flaring petals with dropping knobs also curling at ends, the removable handle of straight semi-cylindrical form issuing a bulbous finial, the pierced and engraved decoration with bands of geometric and floral interlace, the lid with a band of diagonal ribs opening to reveal the hearth as a shallow bowl, slight corrosion
