This intriguing dish depicts the lively Battle of the Wei River (204 B.C.), wherein the young general Han Xin created a makeshift dam with sandbags and tricked Long Qie, a general of the Chu army, and Tian Guang, a prince of the Qi, into charging their troops across the river. As the assault moved forward Han Xin removed the bags, drowning his enemies.
