    From a service made for Commodore Thomas Best of the British East India Company who married a Miss King of Wivenhoe, Essex, according to D.S. Howard, op. cit., vol. I, who notes this pair of basins from the Quennell sale, where they made 60 GBP, as well as pieces in the Bullivant, Tudor-Craig and Crisp collections.
