    circular box, the cover inset with enamel miniature depicting Aeneas being guided by Destiny away from Dido's couch to found the Roman race, within gold mount stamped with trailing husks and roses, the side and base panels similarly mounted, with panels of dark blue composition scattered with gold pellets, the interior lined with dark tortoiseshell
