    With a meridian ridge running along the length of the blade, well worked on either side with four subtle facets, drilled with one fastening hole at the end, the well-polished stone of an attractive greyish-green tone with lighter inclusions

    Bronze Ge blades were the infantry weapons of the Shang and Western Zhou dynasties and the jade reproductions were certainly for ceremonial purposes.
