    Sugata [configuration]: hon-zukuri katana of shallow curve, iori-mune, chu-kissaki
    Kitae [forging pattern]: well-ordered itame with ji-nie, masame on the shinogi-ji
    Hamon [tempering pattern]: gunome midare of ko-nie with sunagashi, ashi, and some yo
    Boshi [tip]: midare with kuzure return
    Nakago [tang]: o-suriage, three mekugi-ana of which one is at the tip of the tang, katte-sagari file marks, kiri tip

    Koshirae [mounting]: katana mounting, the saya with a scheme of linked stylized snowflakes in red and brown lacquer with dense and fine nashiji of specks of shell on a black ground, the long kojiri of shibuichi with bamboo grasses, pine needles and plum blossoms in gold nunome zogan, kurikata of a puppy in copper with shakudo and gold details, fuchi-kashira of red copper and plum, bamboo grasses, and pine needles in high relief inlay of shakudo, silver, and gold on a basket-weave ground, menuki of gold-inlaid rats on copper umbrellas, the square iron tsuba with deeply cut Nanban scrolling and dragon and phoenix in maru-bori with some gilding
