    A pair of large 19th century scrimshaw and polychromed whale's teeth with whaling scenes**
    both teeth engraved on each side, the first with a British frigate at anchor on one side, on the other a manned whaleboat harpooning a whale; the second with a British frigate in a storm tossed sea under shotened sail, the other side with a whaleship hove to, and a whale alongside with the crew cutting in. All the images are in polychromed colors, mounted as a pair of bookends.
