    CIRCA 1900, GILT CROWNED GLOBE MARKS AND IMPRESSED MARKS
    The first, probably by Alboin Birks, decorated with a roundel of a fairy crying into a pond, initialled 'AB', the second with a putto in branches playing a pipe, indistinct initials perhaps 'AB' as before or 'LB' for Lawrence Birks, both on a chocolate brown ground within ivory and gilt borders and pierced rim
