a large lotus leaf curved inwards forms the deep well of the washer, the handle modelled as the tips of the stems of the lotus flowers and leaves that wind around the body of the lotus in relief, a chilong clambers up the side of the leaf, its head and paws overlooking the rim of the vessel -- 5 3/8in. (13.7cm.) wide.
