    LATE MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY

    Of a compressed globular shape, finely cast in high relief with two lively three-clawed dragons amidst ruyi clouds in a continuous design, flanked on either side with a pair of protruding handles, each depicting a mythical lion-head with an elephant-trunk like snout, the base bearing the Xuande reign mark in raised regular script within a recessed rectangle
