    The shaped ruyi head terminal finely carved in low relief with a single fruiting and flowering leafy peach branch, reserved on an elaborate wan diaper ground continuing on both sides of the arched shaft, the reverse of which is detailed with a bat in flight, the sides of the shaft and head with a finely carved keyfret border, suspending a double-tassle

    A bamboo veneer ruyi inscribed with a poem by Emperor Qianlong was included in the O.C.S. exhibition, Arts from the Scholars Studio, 1986 and illustrated in the Catalogue, fig. 121. Compare also a bamboo veneer ruyi inset with jade plaques in the Palace Museum Collection, Beijing, illustrated in The Palace Museum Collection of Elite Carvings, Beijing, 2002, p.87, no. 55.
