A similar bowl is in the Zwinger Palace at Dresden and in the Collection of the Groninger Museum, Netherlands and illustrated by M. Rinaldi, Kraak Porcelain, London, 1989, p. 165, pl. 206. The author suggests that the inscription may be part of a poem by Firdausi and notes that the bowl is extremely rare.
