    A RARE MING BLUE AND WHITE SQUARE DISH
    LONGQING FOUR-CHARACTER SEALMARK WITHIN DOUBLE-SQUARES AND OF THE PERIOD (1567-1572)

    With gently curved sides and canted corners, the interior painted in rich violet-blue tones with a central panel enclosing two court ladies standing beneath a tree in a fenced garden setting, the well with four blossoming peony sprays below double lines at the rim, the exterior painted to each side with a fruiting peach spray
