Richard Sebright, British (1868 - 1951) is recorded at Royal Worcester as the 'finest fruit painters of any period'. He was also a master painter and exhibited watercolours at the Royal Academy. He painstakingly painted from nature and refused to simplify his techniques even when tempted by greater pay. See Property of a Lady, Christie's, New York, 24 April 2004, lot 394 for eleven plates by this artist.
