    Rectangular, depicting the Deisis in three hinged panels, with traditionally painted heads and hands, and engraved, each with engine-turned oklad, the case panels engraved with the cross, a Russian inscription, each with strapwork borders, fully marked
    2¾ in. (7 cm.) high, excluding fittings
    The inscription translates as: 'Save and Protect'.
