The Hon. Gerald David Lascelles (1924-1998) was the younger son of Henry, 6th Earl of Harewood (1882-1947) and Princess Mary, The Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood (1897-1965). He was born at Goldsborough Hall near Knaresborough, North Yorkshire and was baptised with The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of York as his godparents.
