    A SPINACH JADE JUE VESSEL, INCISED XIANFENG SEALMARK AND PROBABLY OF THE PERIOD (1851-1861)
    the archaistic libation vessel modelled with two columns to the top, carved to the body with bands of key fret, stylised foliage and geometrical patterns; a spinach pendant, carved and pierced with a basket holding branches of peaches and finger-citrus or 'Buddha's hand'; a black and grey staff finial naturalistically carved as a dog's head, with an inscription to the back of the neck and a drilled socket for insertion to the base; and a spinach miniature dish in the form of a lotus leaf, with applied turquoise, red and green carvings of a tortoise, butterfly and lingzhi fungus -- The first, 6 5/8in. (16.8cm.) long. (4)
