    A SWISS VARI-COLOUR GOLD AND GLASS SCENT-FLASK
    PROBABLY GENEVA, CIRCA 1860/80
    cylindrical with faceted sides, the double compartmented glass body mounted at each end with hinged vari-colour gold cover chased on the sides and rim with flowers and foliage on a sablé ground, and set with push-pin, one end with the cypher CG, the C set with seed-pearls, intertwined with trailing foliage, the other end with polished gold reserve engraved '24 ottobre 1874', the centre of the flask mounted with a vari-colour gold band of rectangular sections containing lozenges and flowers, glass stoppers at each end; fitted purple velvet case with blue silk lining
