EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1800), SIGNED SADAYUKI SAKU
The oval, cup-shaped iron plate has a convex face, acid-etched in low relief, with a design of a dragon in swirling clouds. On the lower right are two round openings, the smaller is brass lined (udenuki-ana). The concave reverse is saucer-shaped and smoothly polished--height 8.3cm., width 8.3cm., depth of cup 1.0cm.
