    With long pointed nose and ears, pronounced canine teeth and bald head, decorated in black, red and white pigment over dry lacquer (kanshitsu)

    Wood storage box inscribed Gigaku men, Yano Takehide sensei aigan, Nogami Toyoichiro kan (Gigaku mask, treasured by Yano Takehide sensei, authenticated by [the Noh mask scholar] Nogami Toyoichiro) and Showa juyonen hachigatsu San Sebasutian ni oite (August 1939, San Sebastian) on the reverse
