Specialist note

The Graha Santi Vidhi details how to avoid the malefic influences of demons, which attack children at certain stages of their life through computational charts. In this version there are two pages of text dealing with each graha. The Eight Matrika (Mother) Goddesses are invoked to appease the demons. For a detailed study of this type of text, see Ian Alsop's description of some leaves in the Zimmerman collection, Art of the Himalayas, 1991, pp. 43-44 and 193.
