A related example attributed to Dutch Delft and dated 1634, in J.D. van Dam, 'Vroege faience uit Delft', in Mededelingenblad Nederlandse Vereniging van Vrienden van de Ceramiek, nr. 135, 1989/3, p. 8 ill. 5.
    F. Scholten, Dutch Majolica & Delftware from the Edwin van Drecht Collection, Amsterdam, 1993, p. 110 nr. 96 attributes this class of jugs with a dull glaze and rather heavy decoration, seemingly earlier than Delft pieces, to English Delftware.
