    Hand-modelled, round with inward-tapering curved walls set on a compressed disc foot, applied with a glossy crackled red glaze with suffusions of frothy white, unglazed clay red
    3 3/8in. (8.6cm.) high; 4¼in. (10.8cm.) diameter
    Wood boxes authenticated by Raku Kichizaemon X (Tannyu; 1795-1854) and XV (b. 1949) dated 1990, also Sen Soshitsu XV (Hounsai; b. 1923)
