    The white and black king both stamped JAQUES, LONDON, in a mahogany box with green label bearing facsimilie of Howard Staunton's signature and printed J.JAQUES & SON LTD, LONDON, some minor losses
    The king -- 3 7/8in. (9.8cm.) high; the pawn -- 2¼in. (5.5cm.) high
    Together with a Jaques 'IN STATU QUO' bone and mahogany inlaid travel chess set, late 19th cenntury, with locking mechanism, stamped to the rim of the board and mounted with plaque J.JAQUES & SON MAKERS, LONDON, in leather box stamped with gilt maker's mark (2)
