SAITE PERIOD, CIRCA 6TH CENTURY B.C.
Finely detailed, 1 in. (2.6 cm.) long; a turquoise glazed composition square ring bezel, incised with a hieroglyphic good luck message, Saite Period, circa 6th Century B.C., ½ in. (1.3 cm.) high; a frit glazed composition pyramidal amulet, inscribed djet (eternity); a glazed composition wadj-column, all Late Period, circa 6th-4th Century B.C., 1¼ in. (3.1 cm.) high max.; a black steatite leg seal amulet, Late Old Kingdom/First Intermediate Period, late 3rd millennium B.C., 1 1/8 in. (2.9 cm.) high; two stone wedjat-eyes amulets; a black obsidian scarab; and a group of 'faience' and hardstone miniature amulets, including wedjat-eyes, scarabs, two Bes amulets, a frog and a djed-pillar, mainly 4th-1st Century B.C., 5/16 in.
