    Of lobed form on eight feet crenellated spandrels bridging each, the tray with central tear-drop pattern, surrounded by floral vine set with turquoise stones, the outer rim pierced around central teardrop design - 7 3/4in (19.5cm) diameter

    The tray bears remarkable similarities to a "darber set" of twenty objects decorated in an identical manner - basins, trays, rose water sprinklers, perfume stands and pandans known to have been in the collection of Powis Castle by 1766 and commissioned by Robert Clive, Clive of India.
