Dishes with this pattern are also found with Yongzheng marks. As the character for 'bat', fu, is a homonym for 'fortune', the combination of five bats provides a rebus not only for vast good fortune but it also represents the Five Blessings of longevity, wealth, health, love of virtue and a peaceful death.
