AN OPENWORK WHITE JADE HANGING VASE AND COVER
The vase is meticulously pierced and carved with a quatrefoil body with openwork panels on both broader sides, flanked on either side with a pair of dragon and phoenix in high relief connected by scrolls with loose rings, fitted with a cover surmounted by a dragon scroll, with two chains issuing from the phoenix heads terminating in a plaque pierced with kui dragons. The translucent stone is of an even tone with a slight celadon undertone.
