    Compressed circular, each side uniquely chased in relief with exotic foliage and flowers around a central cartouche flanked with applied figures each dressed in a different setting and emblematic of trade and the Empire vis. Britain, India, China and West Africa, the cartouches engraved with coat-of-arms, ivory insulators to tea and coffee pot

    The arms are those of Hawes of Tadworth Court, Surrey (1572) and later of Belstead, Suffolk (4)
