    From the Shahnama of Firdawsi, gouache on paper heightened with gold, the scene depicting Ardashir and Shapur embracing at the center of the polo ground, a horse held by an attendant at the back, the scene watched by four dismounted polo players, further distracted watchers on the back ground, within a text panel arranged in four columns with intercolumnar divisions, between gold and black borders, mounted, framed and glazed
